A specially designed channel for cables and wire to run. A cable tray provides mechanical support, and protection which is tailored to specific needs. Such protection may include jackets and/or shields which safeguard against flames, high electrical noise, vibrations, crushing, and so on. Also called wireway.
Cable tray is made use in petrochemical refineries, industrial control systems, intercom systems, traffic controls relay, power extensions, and for many other high power functions. The cable is recognized for use in Class 1 and 2, Division 2 hazardous locations and for installation in trays, wireways, troughs, ducts, conduit and channels. Power Limited Tray Cable may be used for burglar alarms, petrochemical refineries, business machines, power limited circuits, intercom systems, cash registers, and industrial control systems. There is even Wind Turbine Tray Cable (WTTC) available for environmentally-friendly wind turbine applications.
Allied Wire and Cable's tray cable have an abundance of superior features that make them excellent for the aforementioned applications. Our Type TC Tray Cable conforms to specified articles of the National Electrical Code, UL guidelines, and flame tests. The cable is sunlight, heat and moisture resistant.
An exhaust heat insulator works much like an exhaust wrap. Both retain thermal energy inside your exhaust system. The construction and installation of an exhaust heat shield is far different compared to an exhaust heat wrap.
By insulating the exhaust you focus or redirect the thermal energy where it belongs- in the exhaust system. This causes the exhaust gases to be thinner, this enables the gases to flow more quickly out of the system. The increased speed pulls the exhaust gases and intake gas through the cycle faster. This can lower intake temperature, creating more power. Additionally, this will lower underhood temperatures up to 50 percent. The benefit is making cooler intake temperature, generating even more power. Insulating a down or up pipe and manifold can also build boost on a turbo charged application more quickly. It will reduce lag and turbo flutter when on and off the throttle.
